You'll have to consider that a lot of best islamic books were written in the islamic golden age, which was from 9th century to the 15th century.
And there is also a geographical difference, not only a historical difference.
Thats why it may come off as weird written.
You could read "The Divine Reality: God, Islam and the Mirage of Atheism" by Hamza tzortzis, that'll be a lot more easier to read, but again its not as good as the books written in the golden age, as the philosophers, and scientists back then were on a whole other level.

Ibn Sina introduced a new way of thinking, and understanding of logic. And corrected Aristotles logic several times. Thats just to show you that it would be a shame to miss their works.
